Who We Are

Located in the Nation's Capital, IODE Walter Baker Chapter has for the past 30 years quietly helped, through volunteer hours and financial assistance, individuals and groups who do not receive aid from the larger government sponsored charitable organizations.

Founded in 1988, and named after the Honourable Walter Baker P.C., M.P., Q.C., IODE Walter Baker Chapter is one of three Primary IODE Chapters that assist those in need the Ottawa area.  Walter Baker Chapter as well as Laurentian Chapter, Lorraine Chapter,  supported by Ottawa's Municipal Chapter, provide the National Capital Region with a strong IODE presence.

Currently, Walter Baker Chapter has 30 members from Ottawa, Nepean, Kanata, Richmond, Carp, and Stittsville.  Each member enriches the Chapter with her diverse skills, ideas, sense of humour and enthusiasm, and willingly volunteers her time and efforts to make our charitable projects, programs and annual fundraisers as successful as possible.
